The Art of the Red

Why not broaden your knowledge of red wine and become a winemaker for the day and join in this fun, behind the scenes wine blending experience. We start the day at Marynissen Estates Winery growers of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Canada where you will taste their award winning premium reds only available at the winery. Next we will visit Strewn Winery for an exceptional winery and culinary experience, premium VQA wines followed by casual fine dining at Terroir La Cachette where you will enjoy a superb three course gourmet lunch. Then the fun really starts as we will visit Hillebrand Winery and each guest will participate in a one hour tasting seminar and have an opportunity to create, name and take home their own version of Trius Red, Niagara`s benchmark red wine. Finally take a tour of the winery, a showcase in the area having recently undergone a $3 million renovation. An experience you will never forget.

Golf, Wine and Dine Tour

Your day will start with complimentary pick up at any of the local accommodations by one of our experienced guides and transferred to the Niagara on the Lake Golf course. The nine hole course founded in 1875 is suitable for all levels of golfers and is located adjacent to Lake Ontario. After your round we will drive you to Strewn Winery for a private tasting of award winning VQA wines following which you can then relax over a fabulous three course gourmet lunch at the renowned winery restaurant, Terroir La Cachette. Later we will visit Jackson Triggs for a fully guided tour of one of the most modern wineries in the world where you will marvel at the unique design concepts that have been incorporated. Then to finish a truly memorable day you will visit one of the smaller “hidden gem” boutique style wineries where you will have an opportunity to sample the region’s award winning Ice-wine.

Sunday Brunch Tour

Your day will start with a fully guided tour of Chateau des Charmes Winery, Niagara`s first French-style chateau situated on the St David`s Bench region and one of the most spectacular wineries in the area followed by tastings of their premium VQA wines. Our next stop will be at  Maleta Winery always a favourite with our guests. Then enjoy the beautiful drive to Queenston Heights Restaurant situated atop the Niagara Escarpment next to The Brock Monument. Take in the magnificent panoramic views along the Niagara River and the vineyards below as you indulge yourself in a leisurely Sunday Brunch. Then sit back and relax as our expert guide drives you along the scenic Niagara Parkway to Niagara on the Lake, “the prettiest town in Canada” where after visiting Reif Estates Winery you will have free time to browse around the unique boutiques and craft stores or maybe visit some of the many art galleries or historic sites for which the town is famous for.

Join us on one of our weekend tours during the Niagara Ice-wine Festival and taste for yourself the reason why Ontario’s Ice wines have won so many prestigious awards around the world.
Tours will include complimentary pick up around 10.30am at all local accommodations and our experienced, knowledgeable guide / driver will escort you for the entire day enabling you to visit as many of the participating wineries as you wish, returning to your accommodations around 6.00pm.
